Location: Dereham, Kings Lynn, Swaffham and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibilities

As a Painter (Capital Works), you’ll play an important part in helping us keep our homes safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming for our tenants. You’ll carry out efficient and high‑quality painting and decorating tasks across our properties, supporting other trades when required to deliver an outstanding service. Working on site each day, you’ll use your technical skills to complete preparation, filling, sanding, priming, glossing, and full decorative works to a professional standard, ensuring we spend time and money wisely. With a focus on safety, efficiency, and minimising waste, you’ll help ensure our homes are ready for new tenants and that any capital works are completed to the highest standard. Flexibility is key, as you may occasionally work paid additional hours to complete essential repairs outside usual working times.

What we're looking for:

• A completed trade apprenticeship, NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade, or proven professional experience in painting and decorating.

• Strong practical skills, including the ability to repair/replace parts and determine appropriate tools and equipment for each job.

• The ability to assist with preparing cost estimates and contribute to efficient service delivery.

• Good customer service, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, ideally with awareness of how to respond to safeguarding or emergency situations on‑site.

• Competence using Microsoft applications such as Outlook and Teams.

• A full, valid driving licence.
