We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled person to join our team as a Rent Lead in our Housing Team.
Location: based at any of our office locations (Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Dereham, Melton) with travel across east Anglia.
A company car will be provided.
As a Rent Lead, you’ll play a vital role in helping tenants maintain positive rent accounts, prevent arrears, and access the support they need to thrive in their homes. You’ll lead and develop a team of Rent Account Advisors, ensuring they deliver exceptional customer service while working closely with the Housing Manager and Head of Housing to support our Housing Made Simple strategy. Alongside managing your own caseload, you’ll build strong relationships with tenants, provide welfare benefit guidance, create realistic action plans, and maintain proactive communication to help tenants stay financially secure. You’ll also collaborate with teams across the organisation to help address wider issues such as repairs, property condition, or anti-social behaviour, ensuring a holistic and supportive housing service
Essential Skills and Experience
Proven experience leading and developing a team, ensuring colleagues have the knowledge and tools they need to deliver a high-quality service.
Housing management experience, ideally within social housing, and a strong background in a customer‑focused environment.
Excellent analytical abilities with experience interpreting data to drive performance and continuous improvement.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex or sensitive information simply and effectively.
Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, with confidence managing caseloads and prioritising work effectively. A collaborative mindset, able to work closely with internal colleagues and external partners to support tenants holistically.
A desire to grow into a subject matter expert in housing and housing law, demonstrating continuous improvement and contributing to shaping the service’s future direction.
