We are pleased to share an opportunity for someone to us as an Asset Improvement Surveyor. This is a permanent job, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role comes with Agile Working.
The successful candidate can be based in any Flagship Housing office, whichever is closest to their home address. We have offices in the following locations: Norwich, Melton / Woodbridge, East Dereham & Bury St. Edmunds.
As an Asset Improvement Surveyor, you will oversee and execute building projects within established timelines and budgets, with an unwavering commitment to enhancing the tenant experience by delivering outstanding customer service. Advocating for the interests of both the asset and the tenant, contributing to Flagship Services' capital component investment programs and estate improvement projects, collaborating with relevant partners. You’re responsible for managing inquiries related to Capital Works programs from tenants and colleagues, conducting home visits to assess the necessity of capital upgrades upon referral.
You’ll ensure compliance with CDM and other regulatory requirements for projects, offering technical solutions and participating in internal meetings at Flagship Services to share insights and provide guidance as needed. Undertaking projects to improve the built environment as part of the estate improvement project pipeline, specifying works, consulting with tenants and procuring contractors as required. Ensuring these projects are delivered on time and on budget and to an exceptional standard.
You’ll collaborate closely with your colleagues, customers and contractors, facilitating discussions to resolve issues and identify solutions that drive tangible improvements in asset performance and the overall living environment for our tenants. Additionally, you’ll conduct investigative efforts in response to complaints, taking full ownership of projects and providing clear direction to foster a culture of relentlessly improving performance. Sourcing, preparing and submitting budget estimates following our core value of Spending Money Wisely and progressing and tracking costs, as necessary.
Applications are welcomed for the role of Asset Improvement Surveyor from those with previous experience in a relevant trade or within an asset management or construction backgrounds and have experience of social housing repairs and maintenance services.
You’ll be naturally inquisitive and creative, consistently delivering high standards. Excelling at influencing others, leveraging your knowledge and skills to drive improved business performance.
Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English. You’re also required to have a relevant property, business, or asset management qualification, whilst holding a full valid driving license.
