Join our team as a Building Maintenance Labourer on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract and be a vital part of maintaining the safety and functionality of our properties.

Location: CO10 and surrounding areas 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on properties, including clearing properties, cleaning, and gutter clearance.
• Carry out decorating tasks, and address issues with damp, mould, and flood damage repairs.
• Identify and arrange for the removal of asbestos safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Work with schedules of rates to assess job requirements and complete repair cost estimates.
• Collaborate with other trades and colleagues to deliver an exceptional repairs service to tenants.
• Ensure flexibility to work additional paid hours as needed and participate in an on-call rota.

Minimum Essential Criteria

• Proven experience in general building maintenance or similar roles, preferably within a trade environment.
• Strong practical skills, with experience in working with ladders and a variety of manual tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a high commitment to safety and efficiency.

Qualification / Education

• A full UK driving licence is essential.

Skills and Aptitudes

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook and Teams for communication and scheduling.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to address tenant issues effectively.
• Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours and on public holidays when required.

Relevant Experience

• Previous experience in a maintenance or repair role, demonstrating practical skills and safety awareness.
• Experience in working collaboratively with various trades and adhering to set guidelines and codes of practice.
