We are looking for 7 skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team at Gasway.

These are full-time positions, reporting to the Electrical Contract Manager, which involves the day-to-day delivery of high-quality domestic electrical installations, including solar PV, battery storage systems, and high heat retention storage heaters. The successful candidate will ensure the achievement of service excellence and compliance with legislative standards.

The Electrician will be responsible for the effective and efficient installation of domestic solar PV, battery storage, and high heat retention storage heater systems. This includes ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner while maintaining a high standard of workmanship in accordance with legislative requirements. The role also involves providing accurate and relevant electrical certification for all work undertaken and troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

In addition to technical responsibilities, the Electrician will guide and advise customers and clients on the safe and efficient operation of their electrical systems. The role requires taking personal responsibility for Health, Safety, and Welfare, both for oneself and for colleagues and customers. Managing customer enquiries professionally and coordinating with the team is also essential. The Electrician will act as a mentor to trainees and apprentices, encouraging and supporting their development.

The role may involve other duties as required by Gasway, with full training and appropriate supervision provided for tasks of greater responsibility or skill. The Electrician must also take personal responsibility for seeking value-for-money opportunities to get the service right the first time and demonstrate the aims of Gasway's Equality and Diversity objectives.

Flexibility regarding working hours is required, including the possibility of working some evenings and weekends to support a 24/7/365 operational business.

The ideal candidate will have proven high levels of competency with experience working in domestic properties, particularly with domestic solar PV systems and high heat retention storage heater installations.

Experience in undertaking electrical inspection, testing, and remedial works is desirable. The candidate should also be proficient in using tablets and Microsoft packages.

Essential qualifications include Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Theory Technical Certificates, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), the 18th Edition of BS7671, and certifications in the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems and electrical energy storage systems. Desirable qualifications include the AM2 practical assessment, ECS Health & Safety qualification, inspection and testing qualification (2391 or 2394/2395), and a JIB Gold Card. A full driving license is required.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities, customer service skills, and the ability to remain calm and work under pressure. Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work autonomously and diligently with good attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed instructions are also essential. The candidate should have strong communication skills with a variety of stakeholders, including customers.
